Local singer, Rose Kimberley has just released her debut music album and alongside that will tour the South West in the coming months.

In a now or never moment, Rose moved back to the South West from Guildford to put together her first album.

Rose said; “I first released an EP in 2016, which was my first attempt at releasing my own music, since then I have worked on developing my own sound and have released a few more singles.”

“Then in August last year I started putting the album together, most of the album is written by me with a couple for the tracks collaborating with James McDonald. There is also a secret track which was written by my dad, who didn’t know I was going to include it on the album!”

Music runs in the blood, with Rose’s dad being a great lyricist and when Rose was younger she used to jam with her brother at home who was in a band.

Rose is currently juggling her music career with being a dance lecturer at Cornwall College St Austell, teaching singing lessons, running a choir in Totnes where she currently lives and the odd workshop when she finds the time.

Rose plans to do a West Country tour and an album release show in Guildford, which is where many of her music friends and band members are from.

I’m hoping to get a few local festivals lined up in the festival season so watch this space

Find out more about the tour and dates as they are released from Rose’s website; www.rosekimberley.com – Music enthusiasts can download her tracks from iTunes and buy a copy of her CD while she is on tour or from the website.
