Falmouth Marine School will be opening its doors to prospective students and their families this weekend.
The college will be open from 10am until 12 noon on Saturday 3rd February and is an opportunity for those who attend to get a feel for student life, meet staff and students, explore the various departments and gather information on the various courses on offer.
Advice and guidance will be provided on finance, accommodation and courses and qualifications in Boatbuilding, Watersports, Marine Engineering and Marine Science.
Head of Falmouth Marine School, Justin Olosunde, said: “We are a specialist college that offers entry-level to degree-level courses, including apprenticeships, many of which are not offered anywhere else in the county. The building here has been transformed and we can now boast some world class facilities. Our ethos is about making learning work, so we want to help students develop, not only the right qualifications, but to help them gain real employability skills and experiences. We have some great facilities and this is an opportunity for students of all ages to come and explore what is on offer at Falmouth Marine School.”
From 12 until 4pm the Marine School will be running free tasters, designed to give potential students a real insight into what it would be like to study at the college, these sessions are bookable in advance.
