Parents and students are being invited to explore their award-winning local college to get advice on how they can achieve their goals and take the first steps towards a successful career.
Cornwall College Camborne will be opening its doors to prospective students on Tuesday 17th October between 5pm – 7:30pm; for its latest Courses and Careers Advice Event.
Head of College, Vicky Cox, said the event “gives all future students the opportunity to meet our knowledgeable staff, find out about particular courses, learn about progression routes to degree level and discover the wide range of career options”.
“It is also offers visitors the chance to tour the campus and take home lots of valuable information,” she added.
Courses start at entry-level with progression routes up to degree-level study. Options to study on full and part-time courses as well as NVQ and Apprenticeship qualifications are also available.
Vicky continued: “Cornwall College is known as a specialist training college, focusing on many popular career choices. The college has one of the most successful media departments in the county, an award-winning games design department, superb links and opportunities with Falmouth University for our Art and design students, as well as hosting an AA College Rosette restaurant; all demonstrating that we are a very exciting college to study at.”
The College has retained its status as the best catering college in the South West and our Academy Nathan Outlaw recently celebrated five very successful years with a champagne reception.
The course offering at Camborne includes; Business, Art & Design, Media, Catering, Photography, Hair & Beauty, Military Academy, Sports, Health & Social Care, Applied Science, Construction, Engineering, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry and Vocational & Work-related Studies, not to mention access to Higher Education, university courses.
Expert staff and student advisors will be on hand to offer a range of information on all aspects of college life including the range of courses, study programmes, transport, learning support, Cornwall College Students’ Union and sporting activities.
