The course will introduce you to the methods and skills associated with polyester resins and glass fibre composites. You will be introduced to the safe and efficient use of materials and gain an understanding of the theory that supports the development of this skill.

Jonny Mills Boatbuilding Course Manager
Jonny has been working in the marine sector for over 30 years, repairing and sailing aboard wooden square rigged vessels, which is his lifelong passion. Jonny’s expertise and experience extends to building and maintaining historic replicas for museums, fibreglass production yacht building, repairs and restoration of wooden boats.
Jonny has been in charge of a team of shipwrights, building replica boats for film and TV productions, as well as the marine coordination for the Warner Bros. film ‘Clash of the Titans’. Jonny was also the head shipwright on the construction of ‘The Hereford Bull’, a replica trow built for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
