Diploma In Boatbuilding, Restoration And Repair

Boatbuilding Courses at Falmouth If you are passionate about boats, love working with your hands and aspire to be a Boatbuilder then this is the course for you!

Our Boatbuilding, Restoration and Repair is a course full of challenge and reward. As a Level 3 course, this diploma is all about preparing you for a future in the marine industry and perfecting your essential boatbuilding skills.

During the course you will spend a great deal of time in our dedicated boatbuilding workshops where you’ll hone your skills on live boat projects.

You’ll be learning from experienced professionals who are there to give you the very best start to your career and the time you will spend working on our live boat projects is invaluable to the development of your skill level and abilities.
You’ll be looking at all the aspects of boatbuilding, from simple re-finishing, repairs and restorations to new-build projects; you’ll undertake surveys, write reports, speak to customers, source and cost materials and labour charges etc.

Our workshop features industry-standard equipment, exactly like a working Boatyard. We have strong connections with local boatbuilding companies, and employers know a boatbuilding qualification from Falmouth Marine School means you have the very best skills of a crafts person.

So, if you dream of creating exotic boats with beautiful flowing curves and keeping traditional skills alive, then this is the best place to learn and develop the specific skill set required.
