Delivered in partnership with the Eden Project, this programme is for those wishing to gain a qualification in event management based within a world-class visitor attraction. It will enable you to learn in an inspirational environment within a framework of sustainability and ethical tourism.

If you aspire to working in the events sector, Eden presents a wealth of opportunity to engage with one of the most successful events organisations in the UK.

The programme also provides invaluable industry updates and continued professional development for those who are currently employed in the events industry. It looks carefully at the industry ensuring that your knowledge is relevant and meets industry standards.

This foundation degree will equip you with professional leadership and business management skills, as well as specialist knowledge of the event management industry. Our team of specialists comprises industry professionals who operate successful events management businesses alongside their lecturing.

You will be working alongside the Eden staff to organise a range of events, conferences, weddings, gigs and performances both within Eden itself and in venues across Cornwall. You will gain an invaluable insight into current thinking and practice within the sector, as well as the chance to work in partnership with industry professionals.

The added value of the Eden experience, coupled with how the programme is delivered, means on completion of the course you will be a sought after professional, equipped to organise all types of events from cultural festivals, surf and sports competitions to corporate trade shows, conventions, fundraisers and awards.

Entry Requirements

48 UCAS points from AS and A-Levels (at least 32 points must be at A2-level) or relevant level 3 qualification, ie BTEC National Diploma / BTEC Extended Diploma - PPP Grades required (specific unit grades may be requested). Access to HE Diplomas in a relevant subject - 45 credits at level 3 (specific unit grades may be requested). Plus GCSEs at grade C/grade 4 or above in English Language and Mathematics: alternatives at Level 2 may be considered. Mature applicants with relevant experience but without the stated qualifications will be considered individually and are encouraged to apply.
