The Arts

If your passion is dance and you want a career in this expressive and creative industry, then our level 3 course is for you. Whether you’re interest is contemporary dance or fitness, you will develop a wide range of key skills including performing, teaching and fitness. You will study jazz, ballet, urban and more in this practically based programme. You will also benefit from guest artist workshops.

Ideal if:

You are interested in dance or fitness and would like to develop a range of skills enabling you to explore various dance careers including: performing, teaching and fitness.

You’ll need:

four GCSEs at grade C or 5, including English and mathematics, or equivalent qualifications. Successful selection is based on interview and an audition.

You’ll learn:

Through a range of exhilarating units covering subjects such as rehearsing and performing, choreography, ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, urban practice and movement. Teaching is carried out by professional dancers who trained at conservatoires. Successful selection is also based upon interview, audition and your commitment to the course.


Daily practical dance technique classes which incorporate body conditioning and fitness related practice, together with project work.

You’ll love:

Covering all elements of dance and movement through practical workshops and performances, some led by visiting professional artists.

You’ll go on to:

Employment in the wider dance and movement related industries or continue your study at a specialist dance university or conservatoire.
