This Level 2 Technical Certificate in Make-up Artistry aims to provide you with a range of essential technical and practical skills and knowledge, which will equip you to seek employment or further training within the make-up Industry. These skills include carrying out services such as applying make-up and creative make-up artistry.

You are looking to begin a career within the makeup industry.
GCSE English and maths at grade 3.
This qualification covers all the core skills you will need to progress to further learning and training, or to enter the world of work within the make-up industry. You will study the following mandatory content:
- Principles of working in the make-up industry
- Anatomy & physiology for make-up artists
- Research, develop and showcase make-up and hair artistry designs
- The art of applying makeup
- Hair artistry
- Creative make-up artistry
You will attend theory sessions that will support the knowledge and understanding.
Candidates will also be expected to work independently producing research material, evidence and assignments.
Practical assessment will take place throughout the year and there will be an externally set assignment and theory exam.
Taking part in masterclasses led by leading industry experts and training in our professional salons.
On successful completion of the Level 2 Technical Certificate in Make-up Artistry you could progress into employment as a make-up artist or progress onto our Level 3 Theatrical, Special Effects, Hair & Media Makeup Diploma.
