The Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology will prepare you for a career as a reflexologist in the complementary sector.

You will gain the knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice of complementary therapies, business practice anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies. You will also develop your understanding and practical skills to competently provide reflexology services.

This qualification is vocational and includes all the required elements to work effectively in industry as a reflexologist.

Ideal if:

You are aged 19 or over and would like to pursue a career in reflexology.

You’ll need:

To be aged 19 or over. Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of the Level 2 qualification in complementary therapy, beauty therapy or massage.

We recognise that applicants without these qualifications can often offer a high level of competence as well as life experience and we will therefore consider all applications on their merits alongside their qualifications.

If you are unsure as to whether or not you meet the requirements, please call the hair and beauty department and ask to speak to the course manager who will be happy to discuss this with you.

You’ll learn:

Throughout the course you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety as well as client care and consultation. You will also develop a range of technical skills enabling you to provide reflexology treatments using a variety of different techniques alongside developing interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.

You’ll go on to:

This qualification will confirm your competence for employment as a reflexologist. You will also be eligible to join a professional association and gain insurance as a reflexologist. Career options exist in a variety of contexts, including:

  • Working in commercial complementary therapy clinics
  • Working in a commercial spa or salon
  • Working in the NHS in hospitals and care homes
  • Working independently/self employed/home-based settings

There is also the prospect of moving onto one of our other specialist qualifications to compliment your skills with other holistic therapy qualifications such as aromatherapy or massage.
