The Level 3 Technical Certificate in Digital Technology is perfect for those with an interest in the digital sector who want to develop a broad and comprehensive understanding of the IT digital environment.
English and maths GCSE grade C or above or equivalent. A computer science GCSE grade C or above would be desirable.
Over the course of the year you will cover the following topics:
- Software development fundamentals
- Project management
- Information security
- Networking fundamentals
- Digital business communication
- Collection and analysis of data
- Enterprise technologies
This qualification is delivered over a year and can be delivered as part of a wider programme of study such as the City & Guilds TechBac.
We will work with local employers who will contribute to the knowledge and delivery of training. Employers will provide demonstrations and talks on the industry and where possible work placements will also be provided by local employers.
Getting to learn from industry experts. We have some amazing work being done in Cornwall in the digital sectors and this is an excellent opportunity to work with those producing it.
Following this qualification you can progress to the level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Application Development and the City & Guild TechBac, go on to university, an apprenticeship or into the world of work.
