"Studying A-levels in geology, biology and environmental studies at the College helped me gain a place on a geology degree at university and made the first year especially, that little bit easier. I now work in the chemistry department at a testing house laboratory for construction materials. I deal mainly with contaminated land and remediation, doing site work or office based work, but also petrography work using our microscope, or helping out in the lab testing concretes and mortars. I also occasionally help the geotechnical department."
