If you have a passion for taking good photographs and want to develop your existing skills and knowledge, then this Photography (Art & Design) course is perfect for you. On this 2 year programme you will learn all about digital and traditional photography focusing on core disciplines and some specialist photography including; portraiture, landscapes and still-life. You will also explore how to use industry standard software to really enhance your images. You’ll benefit from lots of guest lectures, workshops, educational visits, live projects and presentations.

You will learn explore ideas through both traditional darkroom processes as well as digital photography, including Adobe Creative Suite.
A relevant programme of personal & professional development is included in this programme of study, this will help you understand your career options and build up your portfolio for a Higher Education degree course and/or employment.

to work in a dedicated photography studio with access to excellent facilities in in black & white darkrooms and processing areas, film and processing facilities, lighting studio and a specialist computer suite. You will also have access to other workshops in 3D, ceramics, printmaking, fashion, textiles, Mac suite, animation and film.
University study and employment in the creative industry, there are up to 120 different careers and could include: painter, sculpture, illustrator, graphic designer, product designer, ceramicist, glass artist, textile designer, fashion designer, pattern cutter, fashion photographer, journalistic photographer, primary & secondary school teacher and many more.
