This course is ideal for those who want to re-train or re-direct their lives into psychology, social science and many other behaviour related university courses.
Although there are no specific entry requirements, all applicants will be invited to attend an interview and asked to complete an initial assessment.
Applicants who do not hold a GCSE in mathematics or English at grade C or above will be expected to gain these qualifications before or alongside their Access studies. The opportunity to achieve these qualifications will be provided.
You will study a range of units at level 3 (equivalent to an A level). Each unit is worth 3 credits. For successful completion of the Access course you will need 60 credits overall. The 60 credits are made up of 45 credits from your main subject (psychology and one science) and 15 credits from your core units, which are designed to prepare you for academic study at university level.
To be assessed via coursework, presentations or in class assessments depending on the unit you are studying.
Several of our students have continued their studies at Cornwall College, selecting courses from within our range of foundation degrees.
