The Women Team Leads’ Toolkit will prepare you for your first steps onto the management ladder. The priority will be on developing leadership and will focus on the importance of personal communication as a leader.
The programme is for women and delivered by women and will allow for opportunities to discuss issues and obstacles that may apply to you in a team lead role and your potentially unique development needs. Over the course of the two days you will explore the following topics and undertake a short task to achieve your ILM Level 2 Qualification.
We will cover areas such as:
• Understanding leadership styles
• Communicating as a leader
• Building trust and respect as a leader
• Individual advice and guidance
• Career planning and to discuss further progression.
This course is part of the women only cohorts, which are part of the Developing Leaders Project aimed to increase the skills levels of employed women to encourage progression in employment and help address the gender employment and wage gap in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, part-funded through the ESF.
