Bicton College Bicton LEVEL: 3 Horticulture, Floristry & Arboriculture

If you love the outdoors and are passionate about conservation and the environment then a career in arboriculture could be just what you are looking for. You will need a good head for heights, stamina, a practical outlook and great initiative, you will also need to be prepared to work in all weathers! From identifying species affected by disease, to chopping branches from the highest canopies there is a wide range of specialist areas of arboriculture for you to explore.

To ensure you gain all the skills needed for a career in the arboriculture industry, you will need to start your studies at Level 2. On successful completion you can go into employment or continue your studies at Level 3.

GCSE English and maths at grade 3.

What You Will Learn:

The opportunity during the course to gain the following additional Level 3 qualifications: Aerial Tree Rescue Operations, Use of a Chainsaw from a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP), Emergency First Aid, and Aerial Cutting Using Free Fall Techniques.
